Children's Museum Aug 30, 2010

Corynne is in the Chamber Choir at Butler.  Although excited about our kids doing these wonderful activities the driving around and figuring out what to do with the others isn't always fun.  So, this night Children's museum was open late and I was able drop Corynne off and take other 2 to museum since it was only 15 min away.

It happened to be Star Wars night too.  I was warning Calvin that there would be scary guys and he looked at me and said Mamma I love scary guys.  He was totally into getting his picture taken with them.  Then we went to the Guitars and Rock Stars exhibit.

We did a little gambling, a lot of walking.  Most impressed by the venetian.  Least impressed by the nasty people trying to hand out cards for nasty girls.  Enjoyed it, but don't think I'd like for Vegas to be my "big" yearly vacation until maybe the kids are out of the house!  Not too much relaxing in Vegas!

American Classics Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre

Josie was ask to be a part of Our Town in American Classics. She was so excited and had practice weekdays everyday for 2 weeks for a couple of hours each day. She made the decision to do it after all it was her last 2 weeks of summer break. To be a part of a professional dance company performance at 7 yrs old is a pretty big deal. She has 2 dress rehearsals and 2 performances and the shows were wonderful. Our Town was Act 1 and Scarlett Letter was Act 2 and they were both fantastic. Her father in the performance was Chris Lingner http://www.chrislingner.com/. Other company dancers are listed here http://www.gregoryhancockdancetheatre.org/frameset_com_dancers.html. Meredith Brown is Josie's modern and ballet instructor at the Academy and she LOVES her! Here are some photos from Our Town.
