Ski Trip

David and I really enjoyed skiing.  We are hoping to take the kids in a couple of weeks.  We both did well.  We only went down the smallest hill that took a lift to get there.  So it was a good size hill.  I really wanted to try a bigger one but thought since it was my first time I might be pushing it and end up with a broken something.  We saw around 10 plus people being taken out on strechers over the course of the day.  Anyway, here's some pics from our day.

This was our pre ski breakfast.  Red Bull and a huge breakfast burrito from qdoba.

This was the view at night as we were leaving.  It is so cool.  Unfortunately the pic on my camera phone isn't that great.

Happy 40th!

I am officially 40.  Don't feel any different.  Can say that it was one of the nicest birthday with my family that I can recall.  We went to Texas Roadhouse (kid friendly and I could wear one of my favorite outfits a sweat suit) and ate a yummy meal.  This meant no cooking or cleanup afterwards for me.  David and Corynne had went shopping Monday night while the rest of the kids and I were in Carmel taking Josie to dance.  I got a new ski coat to take with me for the weekend, and one of my favorite things to wear.  Jammies.  I got 2 pr of fleece pants that are soooo soft and a pr of summer jammies.  I also got a pr of diamond earings (they were really from christmas but we had decided not to buy each other christmas this year so I didn't accept them till my birthday).  It's important to create special traditions with your family and even though adults don't always think they need those special things-they do and its important for your kids to have a part in helping create those traditions that they will carry on to their future families.  Thanks David, Corynne, Josie, Calvin and TK for making my day very special.  Thanks also to all my friends and family that sent cards, facebook messages, emails and made phone calls.  Can't wait till my ski weekend!  Woohoo!

Happy Valentine's Day

We have a guest in our family who came on Wed to live with us for 8 wks.  His name is T'Kaleb (he likes TK) and he was 5 in Sept.  The kids are all getting along great and enjoying having an extra person in the house to play with.  Last night David and I went to the club for dinner while Mamaw and Papaw watched the kids at our house.  Then we made fondu for the kids and of course they loved it.  Today we gave their children their gifts and baked cookies.  Here are some pics.
