Funny Calvin Moments

Calvin always brings stuff downstairs when he wakes up and on this morining he brought down his snake and then decided to go back to sleep in our bed.  Couldn't resist snapping a pic of him with his snake all wrapped around him.
He put on David's Dallas Cowboy Jersey inside out and ask me to take his picture.  He was clearly trying to be a comedian.  Not sure but I think that is from the Moody side!!!!

He really gets into his peanut butter and jelly toast.  He is a farely neat eater, but when he gets this his pbj he is either in a big or naked.

Safe Families

David and I felt very strongly about helping one of the 300 orphaned children from Haiti that were supposed to be arriving in Indianapolis.  Whether true, rumor or governmental issue who knows-My brother in law ask why were were willing to help a child from Haiti and not a child from Indiana.  There are tons that need help.  David and I talked and realized that we had never considered it because we had never been approached until the disaster with Haiti and also didn't realize how many kids there were in Indiana that need help.  So we have decided to go ahead and sign up for the Safe families program and see how it works with our family.  We will only be taking young children who would have more in common with Calvin since he is at home all day with me.  They say they get more babies and toddlers than any other age.  We want to help the children in need but also make sure that it is a positive experience for our children so we will work through it all as it is handed to us.

Made a Sale

I have had a few orders for colts hats.  I really enjoy do crafty things so understand I'm not trying to become a millionaire with my etsy store.  I mostly do it for fun, but if I sell a few things it helps me pay for things that I can use to make things for my own kids like sewing machings, sergers, etc.  I even had one of my kids teachers contact me about purchasing some of my "ultra soft" pajama pants.  Corynne wore them to movie night at school and she loved them.   The kids are very impressed that their mom can make clothes from scratch as they put it.  It's funny that I've sewn doll clothes and costumes before but apparently "real" clothes that you can wear everyday is a much bigger deal;)

Getting Ready for Valentine's Day

I have seen several versions of these but have to say Martha Stewarts plus a little tweaking of my own turned out to be the cutest and most versatile.  Reusable valentine fortune cookies and you can custom make your own fortunes to put inside.  Can't wait to give these out on Valentine's Day.  These will be great teacher gifts.

Look for some blue ones for the colts making there way to a party near you;)
