Penny Pincher

Ok my husband would not agree with that term at all to describe me, however I very much buy things on sale, use coupons and by used. Today I got my favorite soap which is rarely on sale (the aromatherapy soap) on sale 3 for $12 (normally $6.50 per) plus got $15 worth of true blue spa product free with a coupon. I bribed Big C into going with me by offering her a coupon and buying her something so she purchased she and J each a foaming bath cleanser and got herself a bottle of bubble bath free. Now I just got an email that gymboree is having 40% off so I can't wait to take a look. Also, 30% at gap. Woohoo:) I was telling sister in law and friend today that until further notice I only shop online. Taking 3 kids to the mall is more torture than it's worth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Little C's A love bug

My favorite Little C sentence is
"I love you momma"

Willy Wonka

Corynne is a candy man kid and an oompa loompa in Willy Wonka Jr. at the Belfry in Noblesville. There was an article in the paper today and here is the link to it
http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20090730/LOCAL01/907300325
She has tried many things over the years and like many but the only thing she has really put a really strong effort into has been theater. It takes more time than anything she has done and she doesn't complain and loves doing it. The best thing she has said is she is sad sometimes when we go to concerts and she can't go, but she loves when we are having broccoli cheese soup for dinner and she doesn't have to be here.

ZOO Day

Cousin D was very excited to see the opening and closing of the snake jaw.

While little C was pretending to be ready for a nap.

We had a rough start to the day as we had 4 families who met at the zoo and cousin was a little jealous of the girls playing with their friends, and Big C was mad that I made her hang with Cousin D. Tears were shed and an hour later all was forgotten. Kids are tough. The little ones are easier to handle. Hormones are starting to kick in with the older and I don't think it's going to be a fun ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mom is soooooooo mean she never lets us smash pennys. So I don't even ask anymore.
Getting 5 kids to look at the camera is very difficult.

Last shot of the day. Everyone is hot, full and thirsty. Funny the more kids you take to the zoo the less you get done. The zoo really isn't that huge, but after lunch, snacks, bathroom breaks, splash park, playground, roller coaster and pony ride we only got to see the kimono dragon. Isn't that insane???????????????????????????????? We did go and see animals last week though:)

First Post

Hi, I have been an avid facebooker for a few months and thought I'd try the blog thing out. So here it goes. My nephew, DMM, is staying with us this week and with school starting in two weeks we are trying to cram as many things in as possible. Yesterday, we did water park at Central Park from 11-3 then then watched JLM's swim meet and had a cookout with inlaws. Today we are heading to the zoo and concert at town hall tonight. CMM, age 9, is involved in theater and has practice every night this week from 6-10:30 plus 2 weeks worth of shows starting friday so she is going to be pooped and probably ready for the calmness of sitting in a classroom all day in a few weeks. All the kids are still sleeping so I guess I should get ready for the zoo.

Family Cookout

Little C has always been a lover of food. I always made his baby food in the magic bullet and Aunt D now does the same for Baby E. Little C saw the bullet container and picked up the leftovers and went to town on the pears, but the green beans were quickly spit back out. Apparently they don't taste good pureed anymore.

Little C is a speed demon in his jeep. He wheels around like a pro.

Baby Cousin E is Mr. Happy. Very cheerful and pleasant little guy. He is always happy to see you. I love his front teeth popping through in the picture. We had out of town relatives in for the weekend so everyone got together for a cookout and all the kids were playing outside.
